Setting Scoliosis Straight is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2008 devoted to empowering families impacted by scoliosis through education, connection, and quality improvement/research efforts. Our mission is to support discoveries and advance techniques in the treatment of spinal deformities in children and adolescents worldwide.
With our ongoing push for improving quality care, SSS now offers two registry options for clinicians: (1) the Surgeon Performance Program (SPP) Quality Improvement Registry and (2) the Research Database Registry.
Our registries offer diagnostic specific modules for Idiopathic Scoliosis, Neuromuscular Scoliosis & Spondylolisthesis patient populations.

Surgeon Performance Program has partnered with POSNA to develop the first POSNA Surgeon Quality Improvement Database (SQID) powered by Setting Scoliosis Straight .
POSNA members are encouraged to participate in the Scoliosis SQID, which includes modules for fusion and vertebral body tethering for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.
If you are already a member of SPP and a POSNA member, your data will automatically be included in the POSNA SQID.
If you are new to SPP and a POSNA member, please click on the button below and sign the Registry Participant Agreement (RPA)
You will click the purple Registry Participant Agreement button on the next page and it will take you to Docusign, where you will be able to review and then sign the agreement.
Marissa Fitz-Coy will then reach out to you and get you started!

Valuable Experience with SPP
My experience with the surgeon performance program dashboard has been very valuable. Having a "stat sheet" provides me with information that I can use to critically and honestly identify areas of surgical performance that I can improve upon. It encourages me even to reach out to thought leaders in the field so that I can learn and adopt strategies that enhance surgical performance. Ultimately, this benefits the ones that matter most, the patients that I care for.Dr. Dom Tuason
